4 Different Shading Systems To Opt From

Direct sun generates lot of heat during a day, but effective shading could block 90% of this heat. By shading a building and its surrounding one could feel cool and comfortable. The range of shading system in the market to choose from is

  • Sun sail: This shading option is the most interesting architectural options for shading garden, patio or yard. These professionally designed and installed shades come in two variations (ordinary shade sails and waterproof shade sails). The added advantage of water proof shade sails is protection of homes during rains. The sail that resembles the sail of a ship is hung horizontally with overhead artistic patterns to protect garden from direct sunlight and also allow enough sun for plants. It also creates an indoor feeling out of home.
  • Awnings: An awning is a more permanent fixture that adds great curb appeal if installed properly. Awnings are good options who desire to create an indoor ceiling while protecting from sun and other disturbing elements. They also work to provide shade to windows to keep houses cooler.
  • Umbrellas: The most common shade used in homes across the country is the patio umbrella. This no so permanent option is generally used away from foundation of homes. They need very less maintenance and can be cleaned and packed easily than any other shading system.
  • Roll-up outdoor shades: The roll-up shades look similar to most traditional awnings, but they can be retracted when not needed. This convenient shading system comes in both manual and motorized models. Its function is same as awnings to protect home from sun and keeping it cool.
